SSS: They're Trying...

I gotta admit: I fucking love the selective services, but the shit they're trying to do with their website is nothing short of absurd. I mean, come on, the smiling asian dude juxtaposed with the bald eagle on an American flag doesn't make the concept of a draft any less unpleasant. They even use the excited looking highlighted "NEW!" web graphic next to updated exemption laws. THAT IS SO FUCKING INAPPROPRIATE! They are trying to make light of something that absolutely cannot be made light. Of course the selective services system is necessary, hell, so are colonoscopies, but the difference is no one pretends to enjoy the latter. SSS needs to just embrace their position as the grim reaper of the American government and quit trying to front like they're just another agency.
